Our native bush is an evergreen wonderland, and winter is the perfect time to discover our unique native plants. Join Sanctuary guides on a 1.5 hour walk along the Te Mahanga stream and learn about some of the plant species that support our forest creatures, as well as feeding, clothing and healing generations of New Zealanders. Both walks follow wheelchair- and pushchair-accessible tracks and depart from the Visitor Centre. The cost is $20 for adults and $10 for kids (5-16 years). Places are limited, so contact our Visitor Centre now to avoid disappointment, or book online.
