Sanctuary by Night tours weekend special for Sanctuary members and friends in June

Experience the wonders of New Zealand’s native forest at night. This two hour guided tour encompasses the dusk chorus followed by the distinctive calls of morepork, weka, and New Zealand’s treasure – the little spotted kiwi. See wonderful displays of native New Zealand glow-worms and, if you’re really lucky, there is always the possibility of seeing a kiwi!

Tours depart 4:30pm (1-14 June) and 4:45pm (from 15 June). Tour duration is 2 hours. Appropriate clothing for the weather conditions is required.

Standard prices are $45 adults and $20 children (minimum age 12 years).

Open Day - Saturday 25 June 2005

Lower Valley

The Sanctuary is holding an Open Day on Saturday 25 June 2005 and everyone is welcome. Entry to the Sanctuary on the day will be just a gold coin donation. So if you haven't been to the Sanctuary before or you would like to see what's new since your last visit then make sure you come along.

Open from 10am to 5pm with last entry at 4pm.

Sanctuary Quiz Evening – Saturday 18 June 2005

Don’t miss the annual Sanctuary Quiz Evening on Saturday 18 June 2005 from 7.30pm. As well as the quiz there will be raffles, bargains to buy and laughs a plenty.
