The Karori Wildlife Sanctuary is a community initiative and a world-first conservation attraction. We need your support!

Over 15,000 people currently support the Sanctuary through membership. It is a great way of showing your support for this remarkable conservation project, and costs as little as $40 a year.

Being within minutes from downtown Wellington, the Sanctuary makes our city a special place to live and visit.

We are rebuilding endangered native wildlife populations and planting trees which will still be growing long after we are gone. We are helping future generations understand our natural environment.

Member Benefits

By becoming a member of Karori Wildlife Sanctuary, you will be helping us to fulfill our unique 500-year vision, and be joining us on a remarkable journey to turn back time.

Wellington is the only city in New Zealand where the native bird population is on the rise, and Karori Wildlife Sanctuary has had a big effect on this.

With your help, we can continue to bring the birdsong back to Wellington.

You can also assist the Karori Wildlife Sanctuary by making a donation, becoming a volunteer or becoming a sponsor.
