Karori Wildlife Sanctuary Trustee Profiles

Richard Bentley
CMINZ
Chairman
Richard Bentley has held senior management roles in industry and is now a professional company director, serving on boards in both the private and public sector and chairing many of them.  He became involved with the Sanctuary in 1997, joined the Trust Board in 1998 and was appointed Chairman in July 2002.
Stephen Fuller Stephen Fuller has been involved with the Sanctuary since its inception, first as Project Manager and then as General Manager. He currently works for an environmental consultancy firm and has been a Trustee since November 2002.
Dr. Colin Miskelly Dr Colin Miskelly trained as an ecologist and is now a manager for the Department of Conservation. He was a member of the original steering committee for the Sanctuary 1993-95 and has been a Trustee since 1999. He has published over 70 scientific papers and books on topics including threatened species management, pest eradication and ecological restoration. Colin also organised the Ornithological Society bird counts in the valley.
Peter Love Peter Love joined the board of trustees in 2000. He is a Managing/Trustee of the Wellington Tenths Trust, who represent the Te Atiawa iwi (mana whenua) of Wellington.
Noel Todd A Director of The Todd Corporation Limited and its major subsidiaries. Chairman of Ice Breaker Holdings limited and a Director of its overseas subsidiaries. A past member of the Dame Malvina Major Foundation and has been involved with many fundraising activities in the Wellington region.
Catherine Judd Catherine Judd has held a number of senior management positions in business and politics, and has served as a public company director and a trustee of many community and professional organisations. She is managing director of her own public relations company, Awaroa Partners. Catherine joined the Sanctuary Trust board in 2006 as a representative for the Wellington City Council.
Andy Foster Councillor Andy Foster is a representative for the Wellington City Council on the Sanctuary Trust board.  Andy is an active volunteer at the Sanctuary and has been involved with the Sanctuary since its inception and was a founding trustee.
Peter Allport Peter Allport is an experienced businessman, holding CEO/Board positions in many organisations and was Chairman of Tourism New Zealand and the Commerce Commission.  Peter joined the board of trustees in July 2004.
Prof. Charles Daugherty Charles is Assistant Vice-Chancellor (Research) at Victoria University. His research interests focus on evolutionary and population biology of vertebrates, conservation genetics, and ecological restoration. He joined the board of trustees in 2007.
