Each 60 minute class will include all equipment; an introductory training session with a qualified Nordic Academy instructor; and a scenic walk through the sanctuary valley. Nordic walking is truly a holistic and natural form of exercise that greatly benefits the whole body without the strain and pain often incurred by other comparable forms of exercise. If you've never tried it before, here's a great opportunity to give it a go and meet new friends.
Please note the maximum number of participants per group is 12 and minimum is 5. There is no age restriction for this activity, but due to walking pole limitations, there is a minimum height requirement of 145cm. Don't forget to wear suitable footwear and clothing!
For more information about the benefits of Nordic Walking you can visit the Nordic Academy New Zealand’s website.

Testimonials: "My Nordic Walking class has become my weekly exercise addiction. I have lost weight and feel fitter. It is a great all-over body workout (I certainly feel it in my muscles afterwards) and the great social aspect of the class makes it all the more enjoyable." Kristen, Nordic Walker "I find that Nordic walking is far more gentle (than the gym) but still benefits all the parts of my body. An absolute bonus is that it takes place in the fresh air and in the company of pleasant people who are are also striving for better bodies and health." Marnie, Nordic Walker© Karori Sanctuary
