Karori Sanctuary Trust is a charitable community trust.

Seven trustees, chosen for their appropriate range and balance of skills and experience to ensure the sound management of the Trust and to assist the Trust in achieving its objectives, are appointed by the Guardians of the Sanctuary (4) and Wellington City Council (3). The Trust has three patrons who were involved in its establishment.

A small team of full-time staff are supported by a volunteer group of over 400 individuals and a member network involving over 15,000 people from the local community.

Other support comes from more than 40 local and national businesses, including local government and philantropic trusts. Find out more about our supporters here.
